Did you know that sunscreens are not regulated? I always new that some of the chemicals in sunscreens were not good for you but I figured that it was better than getting cancer from sun exposure. Well come to find out that some are really bad for you and the labels often have false claims. Some even deteriorate when exposed to sun. OK who’s the idiot who didn’t catch that design flaw!

Here is a report from Denver News about the recommendations for sunscreen and a link to the Cosmetic Safety Database. I think we will be using the California Baby Line as they seem to have toped the list. For you ladies out there who want a Moisturizer with sunscreen Olay’s Defense Daily UV Moisturizer (with zinc) seems to be the best.

I always try to wear a big sun hat, long sleeves if possible and avoid going out in the sun between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
