I was very angry to hear about the unfair treatment that the breeder of the German Shepherd dog that the Biden family bought!

The poor woman has faced lawsuits and death threats all due to the fact that the Bidens bought a puppy from her and not a shelter.

NBC news reported “PETA seized the moment as an opportunity to blame the killing of shelter animals on people who buy from breeders. The organization’s TV commercial, “Buy One, Get One Killed” ran in Delaware after the Biden puppy story made headlines.”

First of all why is it the breeders fault that the Bidens didn’t adopt a shelter dog. First of all I am a big supporter of shelters and adopted dogs but just because you own a pure bred dog does not make you a bad pet owner. Second animals are not in the shelters because of irresponsible breeders but because of irresponsible owners and puppy mills. Now if you buy a dog from a puppy mill or even a pet store I personally think that could be viewed as a bad choice but not a choice that deserves death threats.

I own a pure bred dog and have even considered breeding her but I also have organized and run pet food drives for the local animal shelter. My kids have donated their time and money there as well. Does this make me a bad person? Come on let’s get to the real issues and spend our time trying to better the lives of the animals instead of threatening and making people feel bad! GIVE ME A *!@$%#! BREAK!
