I think this is a Achemon Sphinx moth. I found it on whatsthatbug.com.
Great web site for common bug ID.
The next one is a type of Swallow Tail Butterfly. We found the celery Caterpillar feed on our dill in the garden. The boys put it in our bug/butterfly net cage and fed it til it turned to a chrysalis and then we let it go in the backyard. Man is it beautiful!

Brocoli Raab From the Garden

Our first harvests from the garden are starting to come in. This was some Brocoli Raab sauted in some olive oil and garlic. Even C likes this dish.
Our Colard Green need to be harvested too. Wow, the yearly start paid off this year.

Last Farwell to Chickens

This was one of our last eggs from our chickens. We decided to give them to a friend who promissed to take good care of them.
Although we loved having them they were really distructive of the garden and it ended up costing more to feed them then to buy local eggs at the local coop.
My kids love an egg in toast and what better way to make them than with love.
