Macarons (Macies)

I love Macarons! Not the coconut concoctions but the french petite ones. I have been trying to master them for a while and I have finally succeeded! Check out this little cutie.

Homeschoolings History

We use a great curricula by Pandia Press called “History Odyssey”. This year we are studying the middle ages. One of the books we use is called “Days of Knights and Damsels” . It has all kinds of projects to go with our lessons.
We used plastic milk cartons to make armor and helmets. We also made some falcons for hunting. The kids really enjoy history especially the projects.

Polluting Pets

I saw a thought provoking article on Yahoo today about the environmental impact of our pets. I don’t know about everyone else but our little Mia is part of our family and I could no more discount her for her environmental impact anymore than I could my children.
I mean I try to be aware of our impact but to not have a pet because of it’s carbon footprint is jut not logical to me.  We buy pet food that is meat based but the meat is free range and we …
